Taiwanese delegation to visit Caribbean
KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – Taiwan is seeking to extend its trading relationship with the Caribbean and as a result, a delegation from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council is due here next week on a two-day promotional visit.
“We used to focus on the United States and Europe, now we have extended it to the Caribbean and Latin American area and that is why they (the delegation) are coming here,” Taiwanese Ambassador Leo Lee said, adding that the delegation will hold a number of activities during the visit including a trade fair.
“They will showcase their products in this fair,” he said, adding that the visit is intended to improve trade relations between the two countries.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is expected to address the opening of the trade fair.
